WITH OUR VOICE, WITH YOUR ACTIONS

To mark 8 March, Parma Calcio is launching the 'With our voice, with your actions' campaign through a video, starring the Women's First Team players, which aims to 'make their voices heard ”, with the hope that many other organisations and institutions will continue to bring about concrete initiatives on the long road to achieving gender equality.

With this project, the Club wants to place emphasis once again on the battle against every type of discrimination, an issue that is always at the top of the Club's priority list. To testify to Parma Calcio's commitment to women's football, it is worth mentioning several of the initiatives carried out over the last few years.

Since 2015, the year in which the women's team was created, Parma began playing in Serie C and in the 2022/2023 season it took part in Serie A for the first time in the side’s history. In fact, last season the Tardini also hosted Parma's home matches in the Women's Serie A. Furthermore, fans had the opportunity to follow the men's and women's matches live with a single season ticket for both teams.

Over the last few seasons, a series of CSR activities by the Men's First Team and the Women's First Team together have created feelings and values of inclusion, respect and development. And at the heart of this growth is the new Hub dedicated exclusively to the whole female sector, a cutting-edge facility that has redefined training and development standards. With dedicated offices, gyms, fields and changing rooms, the Noceto sports center has become the centre of the Club's women's football activity.

The development of the new hub, however, does not rule out an expansion of the organisation and company structure, recognising the importance of roles in the scouting area and the psychologist, and with the aim of continuously supporting every footballer. It is a vision that, therefore, does not only concern success on the pitch, but also the well-being and personal growth of each athlete, which, as of today, has a total of 136 players in the women's sector, including base activities (43), youth sector (71) and first team (22).

Furthermore, today (18:00 CET), a special auction dedicated to the shirts used by the Men's First Team and Women's First Team in the matches played wearing the Club's special 110th anniversary badge, specifically Parma vs. Tavagnacco (Women's Serie B, 17/12/2023), Cosenza vs. Parma (Serie BKT, 16/12/2023) and Parma vs. Ternana (Serie BKT, 23/12/2023), will start on the CharityStars platform. The proceeds will be donated to the Parma Anti-Violence Center to support a project against violence on women.

March 8 is a day to remember also because Giulia Ratto joined the Parma Esports team as a professional player in the E-women's championship of EA FC24, a popular football videogame. Giulia has teamed up with two other pro players, for a total of seven girls and boys who make up the Club's Esports team. 24 years old, born in Frattamaggiore, she now lives in Voghera and already boasts plenty of trophies, with several individual successes in the gaming world.

Social responsibility, education, respect and inclusion are the main values that the Club is committed to putting into practice, and to celebrate the power of sport to unite, transform and inspire other organisations to take concrete action.
