Parma, 24 August 2024 - Things hadn't even begun and Valeri's assist saw Man take the lead. One minute and 23 seconds and the Gialloblu were ahead. Then came a battle, agony and a restart: in the 45th minute, Mihaila hit the post and three minutes later, it was Valentin again, attempting to beat Maignan with a lovely diagonal ball. The second half got underway and Reijnders hit the bar. Pulisic's equaliser opened the game back up but Cancellieri brought Parma back into the lead, assisted by Almqvist: Matteo's first goal in a Gialloblu shirt in front of the Curva Nord!
The Gialloblu held out when faced with AC Milan's final push and after five minutes added on, an uncontainable joy exploded on the pitch and in the stands. It was a league win for Parma that hadn't been seen since 2013.
