FABIO PECCHIA: “PARMA IS FOR EVERYONE, PARTIPILO WAS AN EXAMPLE”

Parma, 17 February 2024 - Coach, Fabio Pecchia’s comments following Parma’s victory over Pisa on Matchday 25 of the Serie BKT Championship.

“Great satisfaction. The goal to make it 2-2? I’ve rewatched it, we worked poorly. It’s infuriating because we kept the game under control in the second half against a team that has quality, skilled footballers and ballplayers. We were in their half for 50 minutes during the second half. We came back but we could have thrown away two points. We had the desire to win, a great first half in which we created a lot, they had good possession in a high-tempo first half. We continued in that vein in the second half and forced them low in their half without being subjected to anything.

Great attitude from everyone, I’m very pleased about those who got subbed on, it wasn’t easy for Charpentier and Camara, but even more so for Partipilo. His 9-minute 30-second cameo was fundamental for all of us, for the group and himself. Anthony is working well because his being on the sidelines but continuing to work with this seriousness and application allows me more leeway for choice. It is very long, we need all our energy, not only physical but also mental. It was a great indication. The type of match in the first half allowed us to manage it in the second half. In the first half, we perhaps had the youngest team of recent years under my management. I’ll continue to underline Partipilo’s game, it’s not easy for a player to be off the pitch for so long. The shared happiness? It’s everyone’s Parma, it’s not only the attacker’s goals that are important, in fact, today it was Delprato’s turn and I hope the next one will be someone else's.”
