Parma, Monday 27 October 2025 – Parma Calcio and the Teatro Regio di Parma have entered into a partnership designed to celebrate and promote the city’s identity through two of its greatest symbols – football and opera – both recognised worldwide as hallmarks of Parma’s excellence.
As part of the collaboration, the Teatro Regio di Parma will become the Cultural Partner of Parma Calcio, helping to tell the Club’s story not only as a sport team but as an ambassador for a city that is a capital of art and culture.
In turn, Parma Calcio will become the Identity Partner of the Teatro Regio, helping to promote and share its image and values with new audiences.
This renewed and strengthened partnership brings together football and music, the stadium and the theatre, two worlds united by passion. It creates a shared synergy where the roar of the Curva meets the applause of the loggione, where Parma’s collective identity is reinforced through the celebration of its most authentic and deep-rooted traditions. Together, they champion values of passion, talent, dedication, and respect, spreading messages of community, peace, solidarity, and unity around the world.
Parma Calcio’s story itself is deeply linked to music: the Club traces its roots to the Verdi Football Club, founded between July and September 1913 to celebrate the centenary of Giuseppe Verdi’s birth. Even today, the team takes to the field at the Ennio Tardini Stadium to the triumphant march from Aida. This musical heritage naturally connects with the artistic tradition of the Teatro Regio, which only days ago concluded a hugely successful 25th Verdi Festival, in collaboration with the International Friends of Verdi Festival, with whom Parma Calcio shares a global vision.
