Parma, 25 November 2023 - Crociato coach, Fabio Pecchia’s comments following Parma’s match against Modena on Matchday 14 of Serie BKT.
“We played a great game, even in the first half, I was happy with the team. We didn’t concede any counter-attacks, they were deep in their half to defend. They tried to play but we were all over them. I am very happy about today’s great match, a great reaction. A lot of chances and a lot of situations, I can’t add anything else. Then there are some details but I can only congratulate my boys.
VAR? There’s VAR and they must’ve seen it. They were there for a few minutes, I don't want to talk about the situation, there was an international on the field who could handle it, in a quiet environment. I’m thinking about my players who put on an excellent performance. Seculin? Congratulations because he played a great game with lots of saves but my team did lots of great things, not in anger but maintaining clear-headedness and with quality. The goalkeeper was outstanding.
The table? From today's performance, we still want to do things and play football, we want to play games to win them. Well, we'll talk about Venezia being first. The classification has its value, we play to compete and to win, we don't hide. We have to keep our heads straight and not be affected by situations. Today was a great performance, congratulations to my team because I'm very proud of the quality and intensity of the match, without ever going beyond anger. Our performance was beautiful, we could have even broken the deadlock in the first half. I'm not going to analyse Modena's bench, I'd struggle. After the goal the team never disbanded, they were always there, creating many situations. I return home with anger for the result, but the performance calms me down.”
