NAHUEL ESTÉVEZ: ”COSENZA WILL BE A TOUGH MATCH”

Parma, 12 December 20203 - Nahuel Estévez had the following to say during the 'Natale Gialloblù' dinner organised by the Centro Coordinamento Parma Clubs.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE GROUP AND PECCHIA’S ROLE

“There aren’t just the eleven who take to the pitch; those who come off the bench are important and have changed the course of matches on many occasions. We’re a team consisting of 25 players, and we’re all important. Charpentier and Mihaila did very well on Sunday, but Camara was also excellent. We performed really well, even if we didn’t get off to the best of starts. We went for it in the second half to try and come away with a win. In the end, it was an incredible effort to draw the game after going 3-1 down. We believe in what we’re doing and what the coach says, and we’re a united group that fights until the very end. Cyprien was also brilliant, but we’re all equally important. There are 25 of us, and we need to fight for our objective. Pecchia is a fantastic coach with how he prepares us for matches, but he’s also a great person. He knows how to lead a group, communicates well with the players and is clear with everyone. This is what I like about him.”

A DIFFICULT PLACE TO PLAY

“You do look at the table, but Serie B is a league where everything can change in a short amount of time. Everyone is saying that our next three games are easier matches, but that’s not the case. We’ll go to Cosenza, which is a difficult ground to play at. We recently faced Lecco, who are fighting to avoid relegation, and they did really well to come away with a win, even if we didn’t deserve to lose. Every match is difficult, and we can’t afford to think that there are easy matches; otherwise, we’ll start to slip up. Cosenza have lost their last three games but will have the support of their home crowd behind them. It’ll be tough, but we just need to focus on ourselves.”
