OUR PHILOSOPHY ON THE FIELD
'There are no 12-13 starters, but we have a squad where everyone is a starter. The coach, seeing how hard the guys work during the week, knows he has to choose. Today, this aspect is our strength; if one player is not performing well, there's a replacement ready. We knew there was a lot of pressure on the game after Venezia, it was a direct match. We knew the league wasn't over, and we had to maintain continuity. The same applies now with Pisa. After Cittadella, two very good wins, but we need to maintain consistency. We are the first to know that if games aren't closed out and if there's only a one-goal difference, there's always a risk, whether from a set piece or a scramble. Against Cittadella, we intended\ to close out the game and seek a 3-1 win; there were many chances. We did well, apart from Pandolfi's chance and a few corners, we didn't face many dangers. In the second half, they had more possession, but I don't recall any clear-cut chances. We know we're a team of great quality with influential and promising players, but we need to match other teams in determination. If we analyze all the games, even from last year, apart from the Modena game which we admitted we got wrong, the other defeats against Lecco and Venezia were within our reach. If we approach games with the right attitude and seriousness, our qualities will shine through.'
