Paolo Vanoli

He made his professional football debut in a Venezia shirt in the 1993/94 Serie B season. After three seasons at Hellas Verona, the team with which he made his Serie A debut, he arrived at Parma in the 1998/99 season. A driving full-back with undoubted athletic ability, his time in the yellow and blue was defined by three cups: the Coppa Italia, the UEFA Cup and the Italian Super Cup.

The only two goals he scored for Parma were both crucial: the first came in the second leg of the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina, a goal which sealed victory and saw him win his first trophy.

The second came seven days later against Marseille in the Uefa Cup final victory.

Since retiring from football in 2006, he has embarked on a career as a coach.
