Giuseppe Cardone

After coming through AC Milan’s youth ranks, Cardone joined Parma after experiences at, among others, Bologna, Vicenza, Venezia and Piacenza. Not long after becoming a Crociati player, he suffered serious ligament damage in 2003, resulting in him missing an entire season. However, the successive campaign saw him become the Parma captain, and he would go on to lead the side into the relegation playoff battle with Bologna.

His goal from a corner helped the Crociati avoid relegation, after which wild celebrations ensued on the Piazza Garibaldi, which was packed full of Parma fans.

Cardone wore the Crociati shirt for a further three seasons before moving on to Cesena and then Modena.
