Cristian Zaccardo

After coming through Bologna’s youth ranks and making his Serie A debut with the Rossoblù, he went on to wear the Crociati shirt in 2009 after spells at Palermo and Wolfsburg, with whom he won the Bundesliga.

During his first season at Parma, he scored five goals, equalling his record goal haul over the course of a single Serie A season. The following three years saw him become a pillar of the Crociati defence and wear the captain’s armband on several occasions. In 2006, he won the World Cup with Italy, featuring three times in the competition.
