Alberto Di Chiara

Rising up through the ranks at Roma, the team with whom he made his professional football debut, Alberto Di Chiara arrived at Parma in the summer of 1991, at the height of his footballing maturity.

During his five seasons with the Gialloblù he was the immovable left-back in coach Nevio Scala’s playing system.

A footballer with undisputed athletic skills and good technical skills – his galloping run which ended with a goal in the match against Boavista Porto FC in the Cup Winners’ Cup was unforgettable – he was the first Parma player to wear the blue shirt of the senior national team.

During his Gialloblù experience he won one Coppa Italia, one Cup Winners’ Cup, one European Super Cup and one Uefa Cup.
