Cesena, 2 March 2025 - Parma drew away at Cesena and lost their position at the top of the table to Ternana. The Gialloblu dominated the second half and found the equaliser in stoppage time through Benedetti, but it wasn't enough to bring home all three points.
Parma began the match on the front foot. After only eleven minutes, Kajzba had a great chance, driving into the box, but here shot was blocked by a recovering defender. Colantuono's side kept control of the game and while they created a couple of dangerous chances, they weren't able to nail the final ball. Cesena stepped up the pace around the half-hour mark and they found the breakthrough in the 38th minute in their only chance. Petrova shot and Copetti saved but Jansen reacted quickest and converted the rebound, putting the hosts 1-0 up.
In the second half, Parma upped the tempo and kept Cesena pegged back in their half. In the 62nd minute, Zamanian came close to equalising when her free kick came back off the bar, which the keeper then pushed away to safety. Rognoni then tried her luck, but to no avail. The equaliser came in the dying stages through substiute Benedetti in the 93rd minute. Ambrosi, who was well advanced in the closing stages of the match, crossed into the area and Benedetti beat Serafino with a strong header. Parma left with a point which wasn't enough to hold their position at the top of the table where Ternana now sit. The Gialloblu will play again on Sunday 9 March, at home against Bologna.
