Parma, 12 October 2026 – Parma Calcio 1913 can confirm that, following his admission to Parma University Hospital yesterday, Nesta Elphege underwent laparoscopic surgery for acute appendicitis.

The procedure was performed by Dr Nicola Busi of the Emergency Surgery Department at Parma’s Ospedale Maggiore, with the support of the Second Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit, headed by Prof. Elena Bignami, and in the presence of Parma Calcio’s medical staff.

Elphege will remain under observation at the hospital over the coming days before beginning his rehabilitation programme ahead of a return to competitive action.
