Pavia, 29 September 2024 – Parma Women continued their impressive league form with another emphatic 6-0 victory, this time away at Pavia Academy. For the second match in a row, the Gialloblu fired six goals past their opponents, dominating from start to finish and solidifying their place at the top of the table with a commanding performance.
The match opened up early, as Rognoni capitalized on a rebound in the tenth minute, slotting home after goalkeeper Deiana failed to hold a shot from Lonati. Parma kept the pressure high and doubled their lead in the 30th minute when Rognoni found the net again, heading in at the near post from a perfectly delivered corner by Catelli.
In the second half, Colantuono's side showed no signs of letting up. Cox headed home Parma's third in the 64th minute from a well-placed Ferrario free-kick. Just six minutes later, Ferrario repeated the trick with another pinpoint cross, this time finding Ambrosi, who made it 4-0 with a clinical header. Parma's dominance continued as substitute Distefano latched onto a through ball, dribbled past the keeper, and calmly slotted home in the 74th minute for the fifth. Ferrario capped off a brilliant personal performance with a goal of her own in the 87th minute, heading in a Pondini cross to seal the final 6-0 scoreline.
Parma showcased their strength and consistency, remaining at the top of the table with a perfect record and yet to concede a goal. They’ll look to carry this momentum into their next fixture against Cesena at home in Noceto.
