Verona, 8 September 2024 – Parma Women continue their good results as they beat Hellas Verona 0-2 away on matchday 2 of the Women's Serie B campaign. The Gialloblu walked away with a win after scoring twice in the last 15 minutes through Ploner and Distefano.
The first half was rather balanced as both sides were highly alert in defence. Only at the end of the first 45 did Kajzba snag two big chances, but no dice.
In the second half, Colantuono tried to shake things up with the substitutes and in the 75th minute, fresh arrival Ploner opened the scoring with a precise shot from the edge of the box. This was the Hungarian forward's first of the season. In injury time, other substitute Distefano put the game to bed with a stunning run through the opposition defence, scoring her first goal of the campaign.
Parma Women boast a maximum of six points after two games. The next match will be against Vis Mediterranea at the Stadio Il Noce.
