Noceto, 18 January 2025 - Parma opened 2025 at the Stadio Il Noce with a win, beating Freedom FC 1-0 on matchday 15 of the Women's Serie B, the last game of the first half of the season. In Noceto, the Gialloblu were back to winning ways following the draw to Ternana thanks to a determined performance and a goal from captain Ambrosi.
MATCH REPORT
The first half saw two tactically organised sides but it was Parma who maintained the share of possession. Despite some chances from outside of the box, particularly from Nichele and new arrival Zamanian, Colantuono's side didn't manage to break the deadlock.
In the second half, Parma came out with more determination and took the lead in the 53rd minute. Zamanian hit the crossbar from a freekick on the edge of the box and captain Ambrosi headed home on the rebound, a fundamental goal. Freedom tried to fight back in the last 20 minutes, getting a few chances and forcing Parma to defend their box, though they didn't manage to pull anything off.
The game ended in a big 1-0 win which sees Colantuono's side back out alone at the top of the table, awaiting Ternana's result this weekend.
