Beatrice Merlo’s post-match comments: “The feeling is positive. We were a little tense at the start and needed time to work out how to play and where to find space. We did that better in the second half and put into practice what we had worked on in training.

“We are very happy with this important point, especially because we had never previously managed to get a positive result here. It was crucial to start the league season on the right foot. We also created two chances in the final ten minutes, showing the character, determination and desire to keep pushing for the win until the end.

“The fans? I am delighted to have them by our side. Their support is very important to us, and we hope to see plenty of them in Noceto.”
