Rome, Wednesday 29 October 2025 – Roma edged past Parma 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico on Matchday 9 of Serie A.
Parma started well, holding their shape and putting the hosts under real pressure. 24 minutes in, Bernabé tried his luck from the edge of the box, but his shot drifted over. Nine minutes later, the visitors came close again: Pellegrino beat Ndicka and crossed low into the middle – Wesley’s clearance fell to Estevez, but his effort was blocked by Svilar. Roma grew into the game in the final 15 minutes of the half, finding the net through Celik, only for VAR to rule it out for offside. In stoppage time, Dybala’s diving header forced a fine save from Suzuki.
After the break, Gasperini’s side took control. Hermoso opened the scoring on the hour mark before Dovbyk doubled the lead in the 81st minute. Parma kept fighting and pulled one back through Circati, who struck from close range to beat Svilar, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
