Turin, 29 August 2026 – Juventus beat Parma 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium. The hosts’ goals came from Nico González and Koopmeiners: the former with a deflected left-footed effort from outside the box, the latter with a low diagonal finish into the far corner.

After an evenly balanced first half, Juventus stepped up the pressure after the break. Corvi first denied Nico González, before an unfortunate deflection wrong-footed the keeper and handed the Bianconeri the opener. Parma responded well to going behind, coming close to an equaliser on two occasions through Romero, but Vicario was equal to both efforts.

Parma’s next fixture is on Tuesday 1 September at 18:00 CEST, when they will host Cremonese at the Tardini in the Round of 32 of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa.

Carlos Cuesta gave his thoughts at full time: 'We always want to come away with three points, so it's impossible to be happy with the result. I do want to look at the positives, though, and there were certainly some. After they scored, we reacted well, creating danger and several chances. There were a few situations we didn't read as well as we could have, but the team stayed in the game until the end and kept pushing.

It's a shame about the mistake that led to the second goal, because the game was still open at that point and we were trying to find an equaliser.

From tomorrow, our focus turns to the Coppa Italia.'

Adrian Bernabé added: 'We knew we were coming up against one of the strongest teams in the league. I think we played well and there were clear improvements compared with the match against Cagliari.

We could certainly have done better for the first goal, but after going behind we responded really well.

There are plenty of positives for us to take from this. Now we need to keep working, analysing what didn't go well so we can improve it, while also building on the things we did well.'
