Carlos Cuesta’s statement, released after the game:
“They were the better side for 30-35 minutes in the first half, while the game was much more balanced after the break and we had more chances.
We created more chances and had more shots than in our previous games, and doing that against an opponent of this level is not easy. It is certainly positive, even though it was not enough. We have to continue to work, try to do even more, and be more precise.”
Mariano Troilo’s statement:
“We played against a very strong team that competes in the Champions League. We were unable to pick up any points and we knew it would not be easy. We did some things well and there are certainly other things we need to correct, but that is part of playing games at this level.
Genoa? We have to work and give everything this week to be ready for the next game. We also went through difficult periods last season and came through them by rolling up our sleeves and working even harder. Inside the dressing room, we know this is the path to follow. We have to stay together, keep working, and give everything we have.”
