Parma, 15 July 2024 – The 2024/2025 sports season officially begins today for Parma Women. For today and Tuesday, July 16, the pre-season includes a schedule of medical exams and athletic tests for the initial physical evaluations.
The team's first training session is set for Wednesday 17 July, at the Il Noce sports center in Noceto. Under the guidance of the technical staff, the team are ready to start preparing for the new season, with the first league match scheduled for Sunday, 1 September.
The first pre-season friendly match for the Gialloblu will be played away on Sunday 28 July, against Lugano Femminile at the Cornaredo Stadium, the same venue where the Men's First Team got their pre-season underway against Lugano on 13 July. Following this, the women will return to training in Noceto, where they will face Fiorentina on 4 August.
The summer training camp will mainly take place in Noceto, with a period in Trentino-Alto Adige from 8 to 13 August. The team will spend five days in Pinzolo, where they will have the opportunity to train intensively and strengthen team cohesion and integrate new acquisitions. Midway through the camp, Salvatore Colantuono will have the chance to see his players in action in a friendly match against Inter Women, scheduled for 10 August in Spiazzo (TN).

'We are extremely motivated and ready to begin this new season. The confirmation of coach Salvatore Colantuono, his staff, and key players from last season was essential to ensure continuity and stability for our project. At the same time, we have made targeted additions to further improve the team and compete at high levels.
We have a long season ahead, and I am confident that everyone involved in Parma's women's sector will work 100% to give their best. In the youth teams, which will start pre-season in August, we have made some changes in the staff to ensure maximum support for our young athletes. We have worked well, and I am convinced that, with everyone's commitment, we will achieve great results in the 2024/25 season'.
