FABIO PECCHIA: “VITAL VICTORY, WE PLAYED DIRTY ENOUGH”

Parma, 5 November 2023 - Crociato coach, Fabio Pecchia’s comments following Parma’s victory over Sudtirol on Matchday 12 of the Serie BKT championship.

“The race is on against only ourselves, because before it was Palermo, then it was Venezia. We should only care for our own business, today was an excellent game and a vital win. There was maturity but we were also dirty enough. I am happy with what we did and how we brought it home. Bonny? He is slowly making a name for himself. I am pleased with the goal he scored, from the edge of the area because he likes to keep the ball at his feet but today he scored on the counter, he finished with great strength, conviction and desire to score. The team? I am pleased overall about this game, but we always bring back something we need to improve upon. The championship is long, we need to keep on growing. There were moments when the game could have opened up again; when you have chances, you have to take them, even for 3-0. As we saw at Lecce, we were 2-0 up and the game was opened up again. President Krause? We spoke before the game, he’s been here these last few days. He comes to Parma when there are lots of games, there were three this week and I’m glad he saw three victories. Now we have another game to round off this period. I’m only interested in winning as many games as possible right now. Our next objective is Lecco because it’s our last game before the international break and we have already had bad experiences. I’m not interested in the rest of the talk, we have to isolate ourselves from that.”
