COACH FABIO PECCHIA: “I EXPECT A BIG PERFORMANCE”

Collecchio, 25 January 2025 – Coach Fabio Pecchia had the following to say on the eve of Parma’s clash away to AC Milan on matchday 22 in Serie A:

A BIG PERFORMANCE NEEDED FROM EVERYONE

“As is always the case, we need to play the match against AC Milan until the very end. I’ve always told the lads that every game is important. What changes from time to time are tactical aspects. It’ll be a different game compared to our match at home to Venezia last week, but we’ve got to go for it against AC Milan. Given how strong they are, they’ll force us back and we’ll spend a lot of time out of possession. However, when we have the ball, we need to be proactive and make them chase it. I expect a big performance from everyone. The desire to take to the pitch and play needs to be the same as it always is.”

WELCOMING NEW CEO FEDERICO CHERUBINI

“I’d like to welcome Cherubini. He’s a fantastic professional with international experience and someone who developed professionally at a big club in the form of Juventus. The fact I’ve worked with him before is an advantage for both of us, and I’m sure he will be of great help.”

OUR PHILOSOPHY REMAINS UNCHANGED

“It’s not easy to work in the current transfer window, and we need to move quickly to integrate our new arrivals. It’s been a positive week with a great atmosphere, and there’s been plenty of desire to work together as a team. Against Venezia, there were some positive signs from several players. We need to carry on working in this manner. Since I’ve been here, we’ve always tried to keep the ball on the ground, but Djurić is an important alternative in the box. It’s just about making adaptions and understanding his qualities, but I don’t think we can completely change our philosophy. The addition of players with certain technical and human values is important for the team. We need these values so we can finish the season with real cohesion and unity.”

BONNY OUT BUT NEW SIGNINGS AVAILABLE

“Bonny has a fever and won’t be able to play, but everyone else is available, including Djurić, Ondrejka and Løvik. I’m happy because they’re all in good condition. After Charpentier’s injury, when Bonny was unavailable, we tried different solutions depending on the opponents. We now have Milan Djurić, who is a focal point and play in this role thanks to his characteristics. He gives us different tactical solutions. Estévez has had an extra week of work and is in great condition. Adrián Bernabé has also done a bit of work. He won’t be in the group, but we’re very close to having him back.”

DELPRATO IN THE FULL-BACK ROLE, CAMARA NEEDS TO WORK

“We had Coulibaly for the reverse fixture, and Vogliacco has settled in well and is another player with experience. Of course, Enrico is capable of playing at full-back and testing himself against a top player. Drissa did well after coming on against Venezia. For me, the quality of the work done during matches is important, both from the start and when a player comes on as a substitute. What matters is being ready. I only have positive words to say about him, but he needs to continue to work and stay involved.”
