PARMA AND THE VALUE OF PLAYING IN THIS STADIUM

Parma, 7 February 2024 - The stadium is a social gathering place. The stadium is an emotional space. And the Ennio Tardini stadium is an extraordinary venue where these elements come together harmoniously.

During Saturday's match against Venezia, at the 100th minute, the stadium witnessed an explosion of joy and a vortex of enthusiasm, truly beautiful. It was a match of great intensity, hanging in the balance until the end, until the rare beauty and tenacity of Drissa Camara's goal. A volley that broke the deadlock and unleashed a collective embrace within the community, a feeling not experienced in a long time.

Thus, emotions revolve around the team. Elements that merge into a symphony depicting the passion and essence of being together, living for a common good. Parma Calcio is attentive to the social and educational values that the stadium embodies. Inclusion, sensitivity, sharing, support: a concept of community to be continuously strengthened.

In depicting the present, this community against Venezia saw the highest number of 'Parma spectators' ever recorded during the 2023-24 season: an exceptional result in the stands of Tardini amidst a climate of strong Gialloblu emotions. From the youngest to the oldest, the stadium offers space and emotion for everyone.

THE 'SPECIAL' EXPERIENCE OF THE TARDINI

Within this afternoon of extraordinary impact, there were even those who celebrated for having watched the match together with the 'rival' Venetians. The Parma Special project, led by our Club and coordinated by Emanuela Andronaco since 2017, had an unforgettable day accompanying the Special Arluno APS, the disability team of Venezia FC: the two teams watched the match together in the Sky Box of the East Stand, guided by our coach Stefano Cavalli and the orange-green coach Franco Cassani. A veritable ceremony before kick-off took place with the exchange of pennants between the two coaches and many hugs, under the watchful eyes of Dino Ferrari, regional delegate of FIGC-DCPS for Emilia Romagna, also present at Tardini.

The Parma Special project continues to uphold its commitment to both sporting and educational pathways, with recreational and educational activities centered around the Tardini stadium to provide experiential moments aimed at breaking down any barriers. This will be epitomized in the third edition of 'Tardini for Special', now a traditional event attracting national and international Club profiles. 'It was a day to get to know a new reality of DCPS - explains Stefano Cavalli, the coach of Parma Special -, an opportunity to compare and plan future encounters. We cheered for our beloved team, Parma Calcio, and this contributed to making the moment beautiful for all the players of Parma Special. The boys had a lot of fun, never stopped cheering, and will always remember this memorable day!'

THE EXPERIENCE FROM THE YOUNG ONES

Within the heart of the stadium lies the heart of the youngest, the girls and boys who are growing and taking their first steps in football. Parma Calcio promotes periodic activities through the work of the Parma Academy staff, who, on match days, combine sports activities with an tour during the match with affiliated clubs. On Saturday, against Venezia, the Polisportiva Airoldi Origgio (Varese) hosted over 100 children: after a joint training session at the Stuard field in San Pancrazio, over 100 children moved to the Tardini stands to experience the stadium atmosphere, undergoing pre-match warm-ups on the sidelines, visiting the Ernesto Ceresini Museum for a journey through the history of Parma football, and concluding by watching the match amidst a flurry of Gialloblu flags.

'We believe in a formative project - emphasizes Marco Garilli, responsible for the Parma Academy territorial affiliation project - that is based on fun, passion, and the values of the Club. Through the amazed eyes of the many children entering Tardini for the first time, we believe that experiencing certain emotions can truly make a difference, both in terms of sporting and personal growth. The matchday experience, in an atmosphere animated by love for football and the crossed jersey, allows our kids to live the present of the Club, breathing, in its historic home, a 110-year-old story.'

'Bringing the stadium and the match to the children allows them to be excited: seeing their curiosity when they visit the Museum and discover the history of jerseys and trophies is always very rewarding. Stepping onto the field just meters away from the grass and players fill their eyes with amazement, admiration, and dreams, like when they shout to cheer and celebrate the goals of their idols. These days contain a unique richness and nourish a healthy, genuine, and eternal passion for football and for Parma,' added Roberto Pirovano, responsible for the national affiliation project of Parma Academy.

A day that ended for the entire Gialloblu community with hugs and smiles, in an atmosphere to be remembered: sport uniting, the stadium as a place of life, transmitting emotions and making them unique. This is our home, the home of Parma Calcio, which welcomes an infinite love for a team and everything surrounding it.
