Noceto, 16 July, 2026 – An event focused on the immediate future of Parma Calcio Women, celebrating the Club's strong ties with the local community and the strengthening of key strategic partnerships. The press room at the 'Il Noce' Sports Centre hosted a conference bringing together the Club, local institutions and partners to mark several important milestones ahead of the new season: the signing of the agreement with the Municipality of Noceto for the management of the sports centre, the return of Parmalat as a partner, and the presentation of the 2026/27 Parma Calcio Women season, featuring the first official appearance of Marco Zwingauer as Head of Women's Football.
Opening the event, Parma Calcio CEO Federico Cherubini introduced the day's key themes, underlining the central role of the women's project within the Club's long-term development strategy.
'Today marks an important step in the growth of Parma Calcio Women. The agreement with the Municipality of Noceto strengthens the bond between the Club and the local community and reflects our ownership's commitment to investing in a project that looks firmly to the future. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Parmalat back alongside Parma Calcio - a brand that is part of our history and that has chosen to support women's football, sharing its values, commitment and ability to inspire. Today also marks the beginning of Marco Zwingauer's journey as Head of Women's Football, a role in which we have great confidence as we continue to grow the women's game. I would also like to thank Domenico Aurelio for the outstanding work he has done over the past few years.'
Strengthening the bond with the local community
The first part of the conference was dedicated to the agreement between Parma Calcio and the Municipality of Noceto for the management of the 'Il Noce' Sports Centre, which has become the home of Parma Calcio Women's activities in recent years.
The agreement further strengthens an already successful partnership, reaffirming the shared commitment to developing a facility that has become increasingly important both for the growth of women's football and for the local community.
Mayor of Noceto, Fabio Fecci, focused on the importance of the agreement:
'Parma Calcio Women have always found a home in Noceto, and today we are strengthening that relationship even further. This agreement is the result of a shared vision for the future of our community. It reinforces the role of the 'Il Noce' Sports Centre as a key sporting hub at both provincial and regional level and confirms the value of the decision made almost twenty years ago to invest in a modern, high-quality facility. Our collaboration with Parma Calcio, who will manage the centre for the next seven years, is built on a shared belief in sport as a social value and an opportunity for community growth. I would like to thank Parma Calcio for their trust, as well as the local sports clubs and everyone who has helped this facility grow over the years.'
Parmalat returns alongside Parma Calcio on the Women's shirts
The event also celebrated Parmalat's return as a partner of Parma Calcio. Having played a defining role in the Club's history, the company now returns as an official partner of Parma Calcio Women.
A partnership rich in symbolic value, bringing together tradition and the future while reaffirming a shared commitment to the continued growth of women's football.
Parmalat General Manager, Maurizio Bassani, commented:
'For Parmalat, this partnership is a natural evolution of the relationship that has always linked us with the Parma area. Supporting Parma Calcio Women means investing in a project that looks to the future by developing talent, promoting equal opportunities and contributing to the growth of a movement that is becoming increasingly important within Italian sport. We are proud to associate our name with an organisation that shares our commitment to people, young generations and the development of the local community.'
Parma Calcio Women launch the 2026/27 season
The conference concluded with the official presentation of the 2026/27 Parma Calcio Women season, which also marked Marco Zwingauer's first public appearance as the Club's new Head of Women's Football.
'I would like to thank President Krause and CEO Cherubini for this incredible opportunity. There is a clear vision here, and the ownership is fully committed to building a successful future for the women's game. Joining Parma means becoming part of a Club with a strong identity and an ambitious long-term project for women's football. Our first objective is to establish ourselves in Serie A with confidence and stability. From there, our goal is to build, over the medium term, a team capable of competing for increasingly ambitious targets. Today officially marks the start of the new season, and we will give everything. We begin with a coaching staff in whom we have complete confidence.'
