Parma, 17 April 2025 – Telling the story as people, and as athletes. This is the basis of Off the Pitch, the documentary project launched by Parma Calcio on International Women's Day on 8 March. Today, the series is complete with the full version being posted in widescreen format on YouTube.
It was created to show the personal and educational progress of Parma Women's footballers and Off The Pitch aims to be part of a more global vision of empowerment and individual growth within the Club. It is an initiative created to inspire. to inform and to offer an authentic look into the daily lives of the players, both on and off the pitch.
The project, which was published in individual episodes on Parma Calcio Women's TikTok and Instagram, opened with a more global overview of the Gialloblu World through Domenico Aurelio (Head of Women’s Football) and Salvatore Colantuono (the Women's First Team manager). The three more focused episodes were based on players that live their sporting career alongside other work at the Club:
- Federica Rizza, vice captain and Women's Under-11s coach;
- Anna Catelli, midfielder and intern in the psychology team;
- Caterina Ambrosi, captian and worker in the Digital and press team.
Off the Pitch has been popular, with over 1.5 million views and more than 30000 interactions on our official social media platforms.
From today, the series is available as one full episode on YouTube. It is one single video that puts together the content in one single piece, going even deeper into the World of Parma Calcio Women, and the stories of these women.
