MATCH PACK, 21ª GIORNATA: SAMPDORIA-PARMA

Parma, 17 January 2024 - Sampdoria is set to face Parma in the match scheduled for Friday, 19 January, at the 'Luigi Ferraris' stadium in Genoa (kick-off at 20:30 CET, live on Sky Sport, Dazn, and Now) for Matchday 21 of the Serie BKT. Here are the statistics and previous encounters for the match.

• Sampdoria remain unbeaten against Parma in the three previous Serie B encounters: two victories in the 1979/80 season and a draw in the current season's first-leg match.

• Across Serie A, Serie B, and Coppa Italia, Sampdoria have not lost in the last four consecutive matches against Parma (three wins, one draw) and could remain unbeaten for more consecutive matches against the Gialloblù for the first time since the period between October 2006 and October 2009 (five matches in that case - four wins, one draw).

• Parma have won only two of the last ten away matches against Sampdoria in Serie A, Serie B, and Coppa Italia (three draws, five losses - all matches played in Serie A), one less victory than in the previous four encounters against Sampdoria (one loss).

• Sampdoria have not won in three consecutive Serie B matches (one draw, two losses - the same number of defeats in the previous nine Serie B matches) and have conceded nine goals in that period (exactly three per match), including five in the last match: Sampdoria have never conceded more goals in a single match in the competition.

null

• After the 1-1 draw against Bari on matchday 19, Sampdoria could draw two consecutive matches at home for the first time since December 2011 (two 1-1 draws against Modena and Juve Stabia in that case, with Giuseppe Iachini as the coach).

• Parma is experiencing its best-ever season in Serie B; after 20 matches, the Gialloblù have never recorded more victories in the Serie B, suffered so few defeats (two), and earned so many points (42 - true even if considering three points for a win from the beginning).

• Parma have not conceded a goal in three consecutive away matches in the league and have not recorded consecutive clean sheets on the road in Serie B since the period between March and May 1990 (four in that case, with Nevio Scala as the coach).

• On one hand, Parma are the team that have scored the most goals (eight) in the first 15 minutes of play in Serie B; on the other hand, Sampdoria is the team that have conceded the most in the final quarter of an hour (11, including Ellertsson's goal in the last match against Venezia).

• No team has more players with at least five goals than Parma in this Serie B: three, namely Dennis Man (eight), Adrian Benedyczak (seven), and Adrian Bernabé (five); in particular, Man and Bernabé have scored four of the last five goals for Gialloblù in the Serie B (excluding own goals).
