MANDELA KEITA: ”HAVING MY MUM AT THE STADIUM WAS GREAT, DIFFICULT RESULT TO TAKE”

Parma, 10 maggio 2026 - Mandela Keita, spoke at the end of Parma-Roma, on Serie A Enilive matchday 36.

'I am happy about the goal, but not enough because we did not win. I am very competitive and I would have wanted to win the match. We did well today, against a great team that is in excellent form. We played well, there were a few mistakes but it was a good match. My mum in the stands? It was a surprise from the Club, I knew nothing about it. I was overjoyed, but seeing her was an enormous emotion. Today's goal, my first in Serie A, I dedicate to her. I feel lucky because I get to play football, there are so many people in difficulty around the world. So if I can help my family through my work I am happy to do so, it means a great deal to me. Everything that happened today is wonderful, even if unfortunately we lost the match. My dream? To be happy, to make my family happy, while from a football point of view I still have a great deal to improve. I hope to play at the highest possible level, working with my head down and my feet on the ground.'
