KRAUSE GROUP RISES TO 99% OF PARMA CALCIO 1913, NUOVO INIZIO LEAVES CLUB

Parma - October, 9th 2024 — Krause Group Italia, the parent company that controls Parma Calcio 1913, and Nuovo Inizio, the company that brings together Parma entrepreneurs Guido Barilla, Giampaolo Dallara, Mauro Del Rio, Angelo Gandolfi, Marco Ferrari, Giacomo Malmesi, Paolo and Pietro Pizzarotti, announce that agreements signed between the parties on 18 September 2020, which provided for the acquisition by Krause Group Italia of the remaining 9% stake in Parma Calcio 1913 still owned by Nuovo Inizio, have been executed.

Therefore, the shareholders of Parma Calcio 1913 as of today are 99% Krause Group Italia, which also includes Enrico Serafino and Vietti wineries and the five-star resort Casa di Langa t, controlled by the parent company Krause Group, which operates in Italy, and 1% by Parma Partecipazioni Calcistiche, the company that expresses the diffuse shareholding structure and continues to represent the Club's territorial bond with the city of Parma.

'Today, we complete a journey we began with Nuovo Inizio.' said Kyle J. Krause, President of Parma Calcio 1913, and Founder & CEO of Krause Group (i.e., the parent company). 'This marks a pivotal moment, reinforcing our passion and commitment to the club, and players and staff, as well as our fans and the Parma community. Since 2020, we’ve executed upon our strategy with energy and dedication to bring the club the success it deserves. We are proud of Parma Calcio's over 110-year history and determined to carry it forward into a bright future. Our plans are ambitious, and together, we are building a strong future for the club.'

'Today marks the formal conclusion of a process that began four years ago with the sale of the vast majority of the company to Kyle J. Krause,” said Marco Ferrari, President of Nuovo Inizio. ”A President who in recent years has concretely demonstrated his passion and willingness to invest in taking the club to an ever higher level, with a vision projected over the long term. As far as we are concerned, our role was clear from the beginning of this journey. To rekindle the spark of football in Parma and then identify a reliable and passionate investor who would guarantee the development of the club for the future. After almost ten years since the start of this wonderful adventure, we can say that our task is truly over.”

Nuovo Inizio, the main shareholder of Parma Calcio from 2015 to 2020, reborn from the ashes of the bankruptcy of Tommaso Ghirardi's Parma FC - has been the protagonist of a sporting feat that represents an absolute record for Italian football: three consecutive promotions from Serie D to Serie A, consolidated by 2 successive salvations in the top division, which saw Parma Calcio reach ninth place in the 19/20 Serie A championship, before being sold to Krause Group in September 2020. After the closing of the 2024 financial year, ten years after its establishment, Nuovo Inizio will cease all activity.

”It was an unrepeatable story that will remain in our hearts forever,” Ferrari concludes. “On behalf of all the members of Nuovo Inizio, I would like to end this experience by thanking all the athletes, managers and collaborators who have been at our side, and above all by giving a big hug to all the Parma fans, who have always shown us affection and trust even in the most difficult moments. After all these years, it will be a bit strange to no longer formally be part of Parma Calcio, but we will always remain at the side of the team of which we are and will always remain loving fans.”
