Parma, 7 January 2026 - Gaetano Oristanio spoke after the game against Inter, on Matchday 19 of the Serie A season.

'It was an important game against a tough opponent like Inter, one of the favourites to win the Scudetto this season. We tried to give our all, stayed compact, and did our best, but we conceded a goal that unsettled us. It was a difficult match. We certainly need to do more, but the commitment, work, and sacrifice were all there. We tried to close down the spaces as much as possible, knowing the quality of Inter’s players, who are very strong between the lines and in attacking the space behind the defence. Their level is top class. We gave our all against a really strong opponent, and maybe we could have shown a bit more courage. Now our focus is on our next match against Lecce, which will be very important. We need to recover and prepare in the best possible way, because it really matters. The squad? Extremely united and tight-knit. We keep working together because we’re all in this together and have to continue on this path. My substitution against Pisa? For me, the team always comes first, because it’s the one that makes you perform better and makes you stronger. There are no problems with the coach; we won in Pisa, so there’s nothing to discuss. Playing against Inter is always special, I grew up in their youth system, so it’s an emotional experience. As for my future, I’m happy here at Parma. My goal is to keep giving my best, push myself further, and continue my journey with the Club.'
