“Today we showed that we are a team that never gives up and that we always want to bring home a good result, right until the last minute. We were great, we didn’t lose patience and we never gave up: the result was a reward for the group and was a sign that we wanted to get the draw. I think we went behind undeservedly, even in the first half we had a lot of chances to go ahead. We didn’t give up, right until the end: I think it was a show of force and strength from the group, the two guys who scored came off the bench and even the final celebrations from the team shows that we are a united group that never gives up. In these games, it’s normal to let a few counter-attacks happen against us, but we did well to bring a very important point back home. Perhaps today, we regained some of the points we threw away against Udinese and Napoli. We are a young team, with a lot of players who are playing in the Serie A for the first time, but we never give up and we always try to give our all. Maybe when it was 0-0, if we were a bit braver in not giving space to Lecce, we could have kept the result the same through the whole game, at 0-0. We need to correct the little mistakes we keep making. At 2-0 there were times when it seemed difficult, but in the middle of the park we kept telling each other to not give up and to have patience because we found ourselves 2-1 down and we didn’t know what could happen: it went well and we returned home happy.”
