Parma, 21 December, 2025 – Head Coach Giovanni Valenti spoke after Parma vs. Lazio:

“The second half was definitely better than the first. We tried to play more in behind, because against such aggressive, man-to-man pressing it’s not a game where you can rely on possession, you need to attack the space. We did that much better after the break, staying higher up the pitch. In the first half, Lazio pushed us back into a low block.

We’re always very close, but there’s still that final step missing and we have to find a way to take it. We need to keep moving in this direction: it’s clear the team is competitive and always in the game, but the last three matches have shown that there’s always a moment that ends up going against us.

Overall, the season has been positive. We’re growing both as a group and individually. The team plays good football and doesn’t concede many goals, and we want to keep working so we can start turning performances into points.

As for AC Milan, they’re a very strong team that plays high-quality football. From tomorrow, our focus will shift to the match on 18 January, and we’ll prepare for it with determination.”
