Noceto, 22 July 2026 – Parma Calcio 1913 is delighted to announce the signing of Birta Georgsdóttir, who joins the Gialloblu following the end of her spell with Genoa. The Icelandic forward has signed a contract with the Club until 2028.

Born in 2002, Georgsdóttir came through the youth ranks at FH and Stjarnan before establishing herself at Breiðablik, where she spent five seasons and won both the Icelandic league title and the Icelandic Women's Football Cup in 2025. That same year, she was named Player of the Year in Iceland's top flight before making the move to Italy to join Genoa for the first overseas spell of her career.

Georgsdóttir shared her first thoughts as a Parma Calcio player:
