ANGE-YOAN BONNY: GOALS, POWER AND ENERGY

Parma, 27 February 2025 – Personality, courage and talent: Ange-Yoan Bonny, or simply Angelo, is a player who keeps reaching new levels. With his great build and technique, he is becoming an increasingly key player for the team. He is a natural centre-forward, but if necessary he can play on the wing and in an up-front partnership. In short, while his physicality makes him dangerous from set pieces, his quality, power and personality do the rest.

He got back to scoring ways against Bologna after a 105 day drought and he has set a new record at Parma. He is the Gialloblu's first under 22-year-old player to score at least five goals in his debut Serie A season. Furthermore, only Assane Diao (2005 born), Santiago Castro and Nico Paz (2004 born) are younger players in the league to have scored at least five goals this season.

His stats speak volume but there is one in particular that stands out. Out of all Serie A players to have scored at least five goals this season, only Casper Tengstedt and Scott McTominay have a higher percentage of goals scored in the first half than the Frenchman.

But Bonny is not all about the numbers. He is an untiring forward who is formidable in duels. Against Bologna, not only did he score the opener, but he had the coolness to step up and convert from the spot. With all the pressure on him, he placed the ball down, looked straight at the keeper and effortlessly sent him the wrong way, converting into the opposite corner. He then went to the corner flag and celebrated in front of the home faithful with a heart celebration. He also always fights and gives his all defensively, just like the rest of his teammates.

The win against Bologna gave us a chance to celebrate him. Bonny received a prize for making 100 appearances for Parma and he was gifted a shirt to commemorate the occasion by President

President Kyle J. Krause. There is so much we can say about his time in Gialloblu. Since his arrival in 2021/22, only Enrico Delprato, Simon Sohm (115), Dennis Man (112) and Adrian Benedyczak (104) have racked up more league appearances. And the most impressive stat is that in 56 starts, Bonny has scored 14 goals.

Now the goal is clear: to continue proving himself. The next match versus Udinese is Angelo's perfect chance to once again raise the bar and to show that he is destined to shine throughout the rest of the season.
