“I found out I’d be playing when the coach read out the line-up in the changing room. It’s all thanks to my teammates and the coach, who has faith in young players. It’s very important to have his trust. When he announced my name, I was emotional but also calm inside. I’m happy for the team, the coach and my family. I’ll never forget this day, and I thank the team and the coach, who also gives me confidence during the week. Before I took to the pitch, Pecchia told me to stay calm. Lazio are a good team, but we were united and brave, managing to come away with the victory in the end. As for my goal, I’m just so emotional and, honestly, I just went for it... I’d like to dedicate it to my mum and dad.”
