Parma, 27 November 2025 – The 22nd edition of the 'Natale in Vetrina Crociata' competition was presented today in the conference room of the Ennio Tardini Stadium. The event celebrates Christmas window displays inspired by the Parma Calcio shirt and the colours of the city.
Organised by the association I Nostri Borghi and Parma Calcio, in collaboration with Gazzetta di Parma, Ascom Confcommercio, the Municipality of Parma, the Department of Culture, Department of Youth Policies, Department of Sport, Department of Education and Avis Comunale, this year's initiative was introduced by Fabrizio Pallini, President of I Nostri Borghi, alongside Parma Calcio CEO Federico Cherubini and Massimiliano Minei of Ascom Parma. Also in attendance was Davide Antonelli, Sport Delegate for the Municipality of Parma.
“We approach the 22nd edition of ‘Natale in Vetrina Crociata’ with great enthusiasm,” said CEO Federico Cherubini. “This event forms part of a broader project to strengthen our bond with the local area. Parma Calcio wants to play an important role in the community by bringing its international and multicultural identity to the forefront through the shirts worn by our men’s and women’s first-team players, who come from all over the world. It’s a meaningful project with a strong social impact: as a Club, we want to remain close to the people in the local area through activities like this. And we all know that in Parma, it isn’t Christmas without the Crociati windows.”
“Natale in Vetrina Crociata” brings together shops from Parma’s historic borgos, numerous schools of all levels, social cooperatives and volunteer associations, all invited to create Christmas-themed displays reflecting both the values of the festive season and the city’s footballing identity. Each of the 20 windows is paired with a Parma player, represented by their shirt.
The displays will be exhibited from 6 December to 13 January, the feast day of Sant’Ilario, patron saint of the city. The project takes the form of a true competition, divided into several award categories: a public vote, submitted weekly through coupons published in Gazzetta di Parma thanks to spaces provided by Parma Calcio; the judgement of an artistic jury composed of journalists who follow the team closely, supporters, and a Club representative; as well as prizes for the best poems, passages and other creative works.
The awards ceremony will take place in January during the week of Sant’Ilario, bringing together all those involved. In the spring, participants will also be welcomed back to the Tardini to attend a Parma Calcio league match.
