Advancing was the key objective today. We gave minutes to some players who needed them and rested others. Despite a few absences, everyone approached the match with great focus and commitment. I had no doubts, because this group works with real determination and belief.

Ascoli are a good side and deserve credit, but in the end, we played well and achieved what we needed: getting through to the next round.”
