Sassuolo, 24 October 2025 – Parma secured a 2-1 away win against Sassuolo at the “Enzo Ricci” Stadium.
Parma started the first half on the front foot, with Mikolajewski testing Sassuolo’s defence twice. The Gialloblu kept up the pressure and broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when Cardinali scored, assisted by a through ball from Mena Martinez. Two minutes later, Castaldo forced a save from Nyarko.In the 33rd minute, Sassuolo were reduced to ten men as Vezzosi was sent off for a second yellow card. Despite the numerical disadvantage, the home side remained resilient and equalised in the 42nd minute through Negri.
In the second half, Parma dominated, applying relentless pressure in search of the goal that would put them ahead. In the 57th minute, Nyarko denied Plicco and then Balduzzi, keeping Sassuolo in the game. Parma came close again in the 66th and 70th minutes, and the breakthrough finally came in the 82nd minute, with Mikolajewski securing the winning goal.
Corrent’s team now looks ahead to two games in quick succession: a Coppa Italia fixture on 28 October and a Serie A clash against Fiorentina at Viola Park on Saturday 1 November.
