Cuneo, 18 May 2025 - Parma ended the season with a comeback victory away at Freedom, however Ternana's win means that the win the league. The Gialloblu finish in second, and, as we already knew, are promoted to Serie A.
The game got going right from the start: in the 7th minute Peruzzo crossed to the far past, but Lonati wasn't able to convert from a good position. Parma then got away with three chances around the 10th minute, with Copetti making two good stops, while the other effort was put over the bar.
In the 12th minute, Ferrario got in front of Korenciova and set up Ferin, but a defender managed to intervene. In the 21st minute, Freedom found an opener: the ball was launched into Coda, whose shot from a difficult angle struck Masu on the arm. From the spot, Coda converted to make it 1-0. The Gialloblu then found an equaliser with Ferrario settin up Ferin, but it was ruled out for offside.
After the break, the Gialloblu were full of determination and they almost immediately won a penalty thanks to freshly subbed-on Distefano, who was taken down in the area. Ferrario stepped up, but her effort was saved by the keeper. The injury of our number 7 then forced Colantuono into a change.
The Gialloblu kept pushing and they pulled it level in the 65th minute: Rognoni fought hard in the area, recovering the ball, and beating the keeper with her first-time effort. Shortly after, Benedetti fired an effort in from the edge of the area and Kajzba was fast enough to convert the rebound, sealing the turnaround. It finished 2-1.
Parma end the season on 77 points, with 24 wins from 30 games. Next season, we will be in Serie A.
