Parma, March 18, 2026 – It was an evening of discussion, critical analysis, and active participation in the press room of the Ennio Tardini Stadium during the “Safeguarding: Protection Protocols and Educational Responsibility” event, promoted by Parma Calcio 1913, FIGC – Youth and School Sector, in collaboration with the Academy Parma Calcio 1913.
The evening took place in person with the option to follow the session via live streaming, resulting in strong attendance: 82 participants in the room and 76 connected remotely, making it a total of 158 attendees.
The event was opened by Gianluca Baschieri (Head of Grassroots), followed by contributions from Eleonora Pongolini, Head of the Psychological Area and Child Protection Officer for the Emilia-Romagna Region FIGC – SGS, and Martina Ranieri (Men and Women Children Safeguarding Officer) for Parma Calcio 1913. They guided participants through an in-depth discussion on a topic that is becoming increasingly relevant in the sporting world.
Throughout the meeting, several insights emerged in relation to protection protocols and the educational role of coaches and club officials, with constructive and active engagement from all affiliated clubs present.
It was an important evening, highlighting the region’s attention and sensitivity toward fundamental issues for the healthy and responsible development of young people in sport.
