Pinzolo, 2 August 2026 – Head coach Carlos Cuesta and defender Alessandro Circati spoke after Parma's 1-1 draw with Iraklis FC in the Gialloblu's latest pre-season friendly.
CARLOS CUESTA
'We started well and managed to get into the opposition half several times in the opening minutes. After that, we struggled a little more because of their pressing. They built up well and we weren't able to press high and win the ball back. We improved in the second half, although perhaps we lacked a bit of composure in the final third. That's perfectly normal at this stage of the season, but we'll keep working to improve. Our objective? To become a better, more dynamic team. It's important that we're reactive and continue improving both in and out of possession. Suzuki? At the moment he's our player. That's all I can say. The Club and I are completely aligned.'
ALESSANDRO CIRCATI
'It was a tough game, like all our pre-season matches have been. The coach wants us to stay compact, exploit the spaces and create opportunities for the wide players. The new signings are settling in really well and working hard. Personally, I'm feeling good. I only arrived a week ago, so I'm a little behind physically, but I'm working hard to get back to full fitness. We're ambitious and we want to have the best season possible.'
