Noceto, 1 August 2025 - The Gialloblu win their fourth friendly 3-1 against FC Pro Vercelli 1892.
On the main pitch at the Il Noce Sports Centre, in front of over 1500 fans, Cuesta's side responded to an initial deficit, scored by Akpa-Akpro in the first half, with all our three goals coming after the break. Just after our draw with RCD Mallorca 24 hours ago, the Gialloblu showed great personality in coming back and beating FC Pro Vercelli 1892. Plicco came close, unmarked in the middle of the box, found by a great through ball, and shot too centrally, allowing Passador to make the save. In the 68th minute, Tarantola then put it into his own net, resulting from a scramble in the box. We then got in front through Pontus Almqvist who scored a header from Hainaut's cross from the right. Our third was scored in the 90th minute by Daniel Mikolajewski on the counter attack: great control on the edge of the box, and a nice right-footed finish into the corner.
And with this win, the second phase of preseason comes to an end. During that time, the Gialloblu faced Parma U20s (3-2), SV Werder Bremen (0-0), RCD Mallorca (1-1) and then the 3-1 win over FC Pro Vercelli 1892. The next friendly, before our Coppa Italia game, will be on Saturday 9 August (15:30) at the Voith Arena against Fussballclub Heidenheim 1846.
