PARMA CALCIO PRESENTS “PLAY GREEN”: A WORKSHOP TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY, BEGINNING AT THE TARDINI

Parma, 20 October 2025 – Moving step by step towards the future with Parma Calcio’s “Play Green” project: a path to bring environmental sustainability to the Ennio Tardini Stadium, home of the Gialloblu. The journey began in May 2025, when the Club earned ISO 14001 environmental certification, an achievement it aims to turn into a culture of awareness and participation. Building on this achievement, “Play Green” was born, a multi-stage initiative.

On 24 October, the day before Parma vs. Como on Matchday 8 of Serie A, a presentation workshop will take place at the Parma Calcio Museum inside the Stadio Tardini, from 11:00-13:00 CEST. Moderated by La Gazzetta di Parma’s Claudio Rinaldi, the invite-only event will bring together media, partners, and institutions for a roundtable on football’s role in ecological transition.

Opening remarks will come from CEO Federico Cherubini and COO Stefano Perrone, followed by partners involved in achieving ISO 14001 alongside Gruppo Iovine, as well as local institutions and companies (including Parma’s Mayor Michele Guerra) sharing best practices in sustainability.

The workshop will also unveil new initiatives to make the Tardini one of Italy’s greenest stadiums, from food reuse programs with Parma Non Spreca to greater fan involvement.

The first tangible step arrives on 25 October during Parma vs. Como, with the launch of an advanced waste-sorting system.

“Play Green” looks beyond the Tardini: an open, scalable project that turns sustainability into a team effort – because the most beautiful game is the one we all play together for our planet’s future.
