Coverciano, 13 June 2026 – Parma Calcio has been named “Best Professional Club” at the FIGC SGS Grassroots Awards, the prestigious UEFA-recognised accolade dedicated to grassroots and youth football.

The Club received the award *“for its outstanding work in the promotion, development and growth of grassroots football. The Club stands out for its ability to combine sporting identity, social responsibility and educational planning, placing the overall development of young male and female footballers at the centre of its activities. Through a comprehensive system of programmes, Parma Calcio 1913 has built an extensive network of affiliations and partnerships with local clubs, schools and communities. The Academy project also represents a structured model capable of guaranteeing quality, continuity and the sharing of methodologies. The Club’s commitment to creating educational and accessible environments makes it a benchmark within the national grassroots football landscape.”*

The award was collected by Gianluca Baschieri, Parma’s Head of Grassroots Football, during the Grassroots Festival, the annual event that marks the conclusion of the sporting season. Presenting the award were SGS President Vito Tisci and Emilia-Romagna SGS Regional Coordinator Massimiliano Rizzello. “Parma Calcio is investing heavily in its youth sector. This recognition belongs to our entire outstanding team,” said Baschieri.
