The Cortile della Cavallerizza, located in the southern part of the Complex, adjacent to the Archaeological Museum, has always been a space that impresses with its scale and striking beauty. Originating after the war on the ruins of the former Ducal Cavallerizza, it was long used as a storage space for archaeological materials from excavations and remained closed to the public. Since 2019, the Cavallerizza has been reopened to the city thanks to a redevelopment project that transformed it into a garden. From here, visitors can admire the novel Neoclassical façade of the Court of Audit, designed by the court architect Ennemond Alexandre Petitot, now fully restored.
The space, now open to the public, has become a vibrant hub of the Pilotta, often used for concerts, theatre performances, and cultural events – a perfect backdrop to celebrate the fusion of sport, art and Parma’s identity.
