Parma, 1 May 2025 - Parma Calcio promotes values beyond football, continuing our work with projects that unite sport, solidarity and awareness. We will also be doing this for the Parma vs. Como match on Serie A Matchday 35, scheduled for 3 May at 15:00 CEST, in association with ADMO Emilia-Romagna.
In Curva Nord, Gialloblu fans will find an information point run by volunteers from ADMO Emilia-Romagna - Bone Marrow Donor Association - dedicated to raising awareness of bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cell donation.
The initiative is part of the Club's broader vision, which puts health and well-being at the centre of our social commitment, and it allows us to transform football passion into a concrete gesture of solidarity.
Hence the Club is confirming our role in involving fans in initiatives that can make a difference in the lives of many people.
A small gesture can change a life
Every year, in Italy, around 2000 people - around half of whom are children - need a bone marrow transplant. It is a procedure that offers a real chance of recovery, and in many cases, it is their only hope. And yet, the genetic compatibility for donation is extremely rare between non-blood relatives: 1 in 100,000. This is why every new sign up to the Italian Donors Register makes the difference, as your help could save a life. The ways of donating, that can be done through peripheral blood or bone marrow donation, are both simple and safe, and they will be explained in detail by the volunteers, throughout the day on Saturday. Learning, becoming aware and getting over fears or cliches - such as the incorrect idea that bone marrow is taken from the spine - is the first step to becoming part of a key donor's network.
Become a donor: it is simple, safe and crucial
To be a bone marrow donor, you need to meet three key requirements: be between 18 and 35 years old, weigh at least 50kg, and be in good health. On Saturday, at the ADMO stand in Curva Nord, you can receive detailed information and sign up to the Register through a simple saliva sample.
Parma Calcio are continuing their social commitments and we invite our fans to join us and engage with this initiative, bringing together passion and solidarity for a cause that can save lives.
