NOT JUST ONE DAY, BUT EVERY DAY: PARMA ESPORTS OPPOSE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

To mark the Valorant team’s bootcamp, Parma Esports produced a special piece of content to reaffirm its commitment to combating violence against women, continuing the values and initiatives promoted by the Club well beyond the symbolic date of 25 November. The video is rooted in a real, everyday experience: the discriminatory and sexist comments that many female pro players receive online.

Using an ironic yet conscious tone, the content turns one of the most widespread stereotypes in the gaming world on its head. In the video, Daniela “Effy” Vrabie reads a series of messages telling female players to “go back to the kitchen”, before quite literally stepping into those words and transforming them into a message with the opposite meaning.

The final sequence, accompanied by the claim “let us cook”, becomes a statement of identity and competence: space is given to gameplay footage, decisive plays and the team’s competitive value, proving that talent, preparation and results have no gender.

With this initiative, Parma Esports renews its commitment to promoting a culture of respect, challenging stereotypes and discrimination through the language of gaming and esports.

A message that forms part of the Club’s broader journey, based on the belief that the fight against violence against women does not end with one day's work, but represents a daily responsibility, on and off the field.
