MILAN DJURIĆ: ”A FAIR RESULT, WE WERE BETTER IN THE SECOND HALF”

Parma, 18 January, 2026 - Forward Milan Djurić spoke after the game against Genoa, on matchday 21 of Serie A.

'The result is fair. There’s some frustration, especially about the second half, when we felt more in control than in the first and got into their box several times. We just lacked a bit of sharpness. We’ve played a lot of games in a short space of time and spent a lot of energy.

The players who came on tried to add something extra and we came close, but Genoa were better in the first half and we were better in the second. In the end, a draw is probably the right outcome and suits both teams. Our forwards always work for the team, we make a lot of runs and stays compact, and when the schedule is so demanding, a bit of clarity can be lost.

We work on these aspects every week with the coach and we’re gradually improving. Compared to the start of the season, you can see the progress in the points we’ve picked up. There’s still room to improve, and that’s the next step. Defensively we’re solid now; the next challenge is getting more players into attacking positions.

Today we were missing something in the final third, especially with so many important matches close together. That’s where we need to be sharper. I see the lads training well, though, and sometimes they just need a bit more freedom, some players are at their best when they can take people on one-on-one.

The league position is positive, so this is the moment to push on and do more. We can play with more freedom in advanced areas because we’re well protected at the back.

Corvi? Edo, like Rinaldi, works hard every day in training. Together with Zion, we have three strong goalkeepers who have all proven themselves. We’re happy and proud of them, and we hope they keep it up, and that Zion can return soon, because he’s important for them and for us.'
