Parma, 7 January 2026 - Head coach Carlos Cuesta spoke after Parma vs. Inter, on Matchday 19 of the Serie A season.

“Today we struggled to consistently get into the final third and create chances. In the first half, we stayed compact and built from the back, which led to Ondrejka’s chance. In the second half, the team’s attitude improved, we pushed higher and pressed more aggressively, but it wasn’t enough. Inter is a very strong team, and when they have space to run, they can be dangerous. In the second half, we took some risks and they punished us.

We also need to manage the ball better when we win it back. Today we tried to play collectively, stay compact, and limit space against a team that is very aggressive in pressing. Against top teams, if you don’t take your chances, the game becomes much harder.

We’re not happy with the result because we wanted to take the points, but now it’s about analysing what didn’t work and improving. In football, there’s no time to dwell, from tomorrow our focus is on Sunday’s match, an important game that we want to prepare for in the best possible way to get points.”
