Cremona, September 21, 2025 – Head coach Carlos Cuesta spoke after the game against Cremonese, on the fourth matchday of Serie A 2025/26.
“We played well in the first half; we managed to stop Cremonese getting through and we were good at creating chances but were missing were the goals. Now we need to create more chances and convert them. In the second half we managed to attack in more space and control the game. So, I’m looking at the positive takeaways from the game, because it’s the first time we haven’t conceded. We try to look at the glass half full. We faced a well organised Cremonese who in the second half tried to gain more possession, defend, and look for goal opportunities. But I also saw an improving Parma, we handled the situation much better than how we did against Cagliari. This allowed us to have more control over the game. Was there a lack of concreteness? Definitely… but we also need to create more chances. The last twenty or thirty meters are the most difficult. We have to keep working. We’ll take this point, even though we always play for all three. In this case, we try to see the positive. We’ve been together for 19 days, if I’m not mistaken, and what I’ve seen is constant improvement compared to our first match against Juventus in Turin. Pellegrino? He’s fine, he played more than 60 minutes. Now our focus is to improve our dynamics, we need to do our best to stay as fresh as possible. The huge number of fans at the stadium? We always want them with us and today was a record, which is very positive. Now we have three home games: the cup match, and then in the league against Torino and Lecce. We hope to continue raising our performance levels and achieve positive results.”
